There isn't anything wrong with being progressive. I mean PROGRESS is an every day thing. It's time we started putting aside the moral boundaries we have imposed upon politics and started doing the right thing. And we are no better then any other country in the world, arrogance is an evil trait plain and simple. Everybody should pay 10% in taxes ACROSS THE BOARD, the more you make, the more you pay, it's fair, the rich paying less taxes then the poor is unethical. Letting big business outsource jobs is unethical. These companies, that during the GW Bush administration, that raped the american people and smiled about it, should be tried for treason, and publicly executed. Our freedoms are being stepped on every day, and apparently it's okay. Case in point, abortion, yeah it's 100% wrong, but to make it illegal would infringe upon the freedom of choice, which is unethical.
Morality has too many shades of gray, Ethics does not. These politicians are ethically bound to serve their constituents. They don't, all they care about are their own personal agendas, nothing more. It's time we got past those boundaries and did things like Socializing Medical care, it's not all that bad. But if we did the insurance companies would go broke, so we won't because we're a business controlled country. Socialism is not the same as communism, those that disagree, should take a political science class. Capitalism and Socialism can coexist, look at most of the EU, and they're more economically stable then the US.
Life, liberty within the law of the land, and the pursuit of happiness. Life also includes being able to take care of yourself when your sick, liberty includes freedom of choice, and the pursuit of happiness means you can be as greedy as you want..
