try updating your Adobe... or installing it. I think we're up to Adobe 10 now. Good Luck

still no joy a loading bar appears but wont go past quarter way????

Java won't make any difference for a flash chat. This chat uses flash sockets which require an open high port on your firewall, I forget which one. It could be a firewall/router issue.
