I work for the FBI and we've put up honeypots on TOR. All TOR servers with the following IP are fake nodes. They provide huge bandwidth to attract clients being routed through them. Then they control the whole node chain and your IP is not secret anymore.

Who cares if your IP is conspicuous? I use an internet cafe if I do anything I want to be kept secret. Security is such an illusion, these days, so you never know.

First off you don't work for the FBI......because if you did, you wouldn't be telling us this info....this info would be classified info and you would immediately loose your security clearance and your job. I know....because I was in the military and use to deal with the FBI, CIA and other 3 letter "company's" and if anyone gave out info like this you would be immediately terminated, put in prison and have your security clearance revoked.

It's a troll people.

Yea, I know he's a troll, man. But, hypothetically, lets say this is true? I will continue to employ outside means for my turpitude! People are always watching. And there's no fun in a bid.

OMG ... that FBI? I'm shaking in my boots. I just peed and pooped my pants ... I changed them, and before i could get the next pair on I pooped on the floor. This post has me SOOO shaken that I'm gonna throw up. I can't eat. I can't sleep.

Why am I so scared? Simple .. I invented time-travel. I live in the future. I've seen first hand it's true. It's all true. He's going to get us all. There is nothing we can do about it. Surrender now!!! Why won't the temporal cops allow me to change what you call the present? -- Oh no, I'm gonna poop my pants again!!!!

Not to worry, the world is flat as a pancake. Just run to the edge and hide out on the other side

Never go to sites that require you to register a username, even on TOR. The last great bust didn't get anyone necessarily because of exit nodes, afterall, the entrance nodes are still chains of servers behind the exit node, no my anon friends, what got them was posting things under a certain username on several boards. They either posted enough information to get them caught or someone they trusted shat on them. TOR is pretty safe but make sure you go into your about config file and turn off javascript. Oh and don't forget to get truecrypt, install TOR on your truecrypt partition, use a multipass erasing program, always rename your downloads, once finished using TOR, multi pass delete your dns cache, your firefox files, backup first your prefs.js and places.sqlite files, then restore them. While you do the deletion it's good to turn off your wireless card in case some trojan is broadcasting, then once back up, go into your router and change your ip address. Also a good idea to spoof your computer's MAC address. If you are simply cleaning out your cookies, you probably ought to do some research.

God speed, my friend. I'm too computer illiterate to take the risk. But it's comforting knowing that free speech is protected by the rebels of the interwebs.

It hasn’t worked well for them in the past. Fuckload of effort to go to. I find it hard to believe all that time and resources is dedicated to old only. Dissidents maybe
