We need to stop giving the Yanks a hard time about being stupid. Most of them aren't. Proportionately probably about the same as the UK (or Germany, or France or Outer Mongolia or wherever). But, there's 300 million of them, so their stupidest will be stupider than our stupidest, because the ends of the Gaussian will go further out. Their smartest will also be smarter than our smartest for the same reason. Hey, if we shared a common language with China - as one day we surely must - we'd be laughing even harder at the dumb things they do.

Is Yanks a bad word for Americans? I doesn't offend me at all, maybe it's because I don't know what it means.
