Depends on what country you're from. In the US, the conservative supporters are usually against gay marriage and gay rights. The republican party has a lot of conservatives and thus making them also against gay marriage and gay rights. If you're trying to find out if the republicans or democrats are more gay friendly, then you should go with democrats. If you really want to be a republican or a concervative, then you should go with Ron Paul (fiscal-conservative), but he has not the major support inside that party. He's also for legalizing pot. On the democrat platform there is more support on pot as well and is more gay friendly.

Hope this helped you out.

US conservatives HATE GAYS, which means that nearly 90% of republicans do too.

There are a small handful of gay republicans ("Log Cabin Republicans" is actually a name they go by).

Some people that think they are republicans are actually Libertarians (placing one's personal freedoms as highest priority) and many if not most of them are "gay-friendly".

Liberals are generally gay-friendly, as are democrats, but there are some bases of democratic voting (many latins and blacks) that don't generally don't personally support gay rights.

regardless, sane people don't let political stances on homosexual rights affect their voting.
