@Aroaro As much as I understand your valid concerns…it would be such a loss not to be able to see their facial expressions when they realize „I am actually hanging by the neck“.
Maybe uploading „friends only“ would be a compromise?

@HangingFan Even after 20 years i would consider you use an AI Tool for pixeling faces, atleast around the eye area to give the girls some privacy. Depending on the person some can look very similar to their 20s pictures, so it could lead to some backlash to them and of course if they find out they could sue you, since they never given written consent.

@Tango666 fuck I think you're right, well more than half are on VHS-C, I'll probably have to buy a HI-8 player or a camera. The best ones, and the most recent ones are on the HI-8 tapes.

@Jazzlover2007 I have 33 really good ones full suspension, 1999-2007 unfortunately there is no nudity. I think it's been long enough, all these girls are in their 40s now, so I don't think they will be recognized. It may be a little while, I have to get a VHS player and a adapter for Hi 8 tapes. I promise I will post them, I'm just pretty broke right now.

@Jazzlover2007 fuck that's a good idea, I just need to get an adapter and I can use my 4K projector. Once I have it on my computer I can upscale it using an AI program I've got. I can't believe I haven't thought of that, I have been sitting on these tapes for two decades. I'll keep everyone posted when I get around to doing this stuff. Thank you man!

@HangingFan Easiest way would be to buy a player and a tripod. Then line up your mobile perfectly centered and film it in a dark room.
With a modern TV you might even get built-in upscaling and smoothing of the picture (althouh I am not sure if this works with analog sources).

When I was hanging my girlfriends back in the day, I filmed everything with hi 8, or VHS camers. Does anyone know how I can digitize them without sending them to a company? I think im ready to start posting them, but I'm scared shitless of them being turned over to the police. Is there some way to digitize without sending them to a company? I have searched everywhere for some kind of transfer device, but everything is super expensive.
