Dear female guro/Dolcett fans (all half-dozen of you),
Do you have any theories of why this kind of content appeals to you? From my side, it seems to be about gender dynamics. I feel the primal, predatory allure of violence and the psychological thrills of possessing something beautiful, dominating something weak, and/or violating something sacred. But those appeals seem distinctly masculine (except maybe the last one), and I really don't feel like I can wrap my head around or even loosely imagine the opposing perspective.
There's a large subset of male-male and female-female content too, but the appeal clearly skews masculine, based on demographics. I also suspect that males rarely identify with the victim in any variation, but that's a subject for another poll.
If you're willing and able to provide your perspective, please do. I would sure appreciate it.
